The mezzanine is reached by a ladder. When the mezzanine is not in use, the ladder can be removed. This is an open sleeping area plus a mezzanine — not two enclosed bedrooms.

The apartment is in the historic centre of Monnickendam, a small town in Waterland with a harbour on the Gouwzee.
Shops, restaurants and the harbour are all in the same centre. What you find here is local atmosphere: narrow streets, water and a working harbour rather than mass tourism.

Monnickendam makes a practical base for visiting Amsterdam: spend the day in the city and return to a quiet apartment by the water in the evening.

Check-in is from 15:00, check-out until 11:00. Self check-in is possible; a personal welcome can be arranged.
The streets around the apartment are a blue zone: between 09:00-19:00 you may park for a maximum of 2 hours. For longer stays use Parkeerplaats Grote Kerk / 't Bolwerk, about a 5-minute walk away.
